LANESBORO — The documentary film "Empowered: Power from the People" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Mane Theatre , 206 Parkway Ave. N., Lanesboro.
The film was shot in upstate New York, where residents of Tompkins County are meeting their energy needs entirely through renewable resources, including solar, wind, biodiesel and geothermal. The film was directed by Shira Golding Evergreen.
Admission is free but donations will be accepted.
