Gargoyles are subject of Alma museum talk

ALMA, Wis. — A program about gargoyle art of medieval times will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Castlerock Museum , 402 S. Second St., Alma.

Susanna Schlosstein will talk about the gargoyles that embellished medieval castles and cathedrals and will show how the style influenced architecture in the New World. She will also demonstrate how to create a gargoyle of your own.

As part of the program, children and parents and grandparents will have an opportunity to create an art project together. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students; children accompanied by an adult are admitted free.
