March is the month of St. Patrick's Day, and wouldn't you know it, Rochester Irish Fest has three events scheduled.
The first, Irish Whiskey Tasting, is at 7:30 p.m. March 1 at Rochester Civic Theatre. Those who attend will have the opportunity to sample different kinds of whiskey. Tickets are $25, or $50 for the VIP reception (limited to 30 seats), which starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes Irish-themed hors d'oeuvres.
Also coming up:
— Irish locals on tour, with the Mairtin de Cogain Project and Raven's Fire, 7:30 p.m. March 8 at Rochester Civic Theatre. An evening of Celtic music. Tickets: $25 adults, $12 students.
—Ceili dancing with the Twin Cities Ceili Band, March 15 at Rochester Athletic Club. The evening begins with a buffet Irish meal at 7:30, followed by dancing at 8:15 p.m. Tickets: $25 adults, $12 students.
