Ana Luisa Fajer, Consul de Mexico in Minnesota, will make a presentation about Mexican culture at the Rochester Art Center during an invitation-only event on Wednesday.
Fajer and Rochester community leaders will tour the art center's exhibitions, including artwork by Mexican artist Miguel Calderon, starting at 11 a.m. She will make a presentation, "Mexican Culture: Impacting Community Engagement," about noon.
Fajer will be joined in her presentation by Maria Cristina Tavera, an artist, researcher, curator and community organizer in the Twin Cities.
Fajer has said the arts make an important connection for the Hispanic community. "Though we may be different in many ways, we all laugh in the same language," she said.
