PINE ISLAND — A book signing by science fiction writer Dave Cravens, and his mother, poet Suzanne Cravens, will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Better Brew Coffeehouse, 301 N. Main St., Pine Island.
Dave Cravens will sign copies of his new novel, "The God Thought," and Suzanne Cravens will sign copies of her book of poetry, "Linger for a While in the Heartland." The poems are complemented by photographs taken by Suzanne's husband, Larry.
"To say Pine Island has had a strong influence on our writing would be an understatement," Dave Cravens said. "My parents have made it their home since 1977, and I spent 20 years growing up here."
Both books will be available for purchase at the signing.
