the god of consumption
expels waste everywhere
we stand astonished
that the planet would wail
of course

the earth will scream what is true
because the earth doesn’t speak
our dialect of deception
to look upon what is real
and see it
wholly
as it is
requires a single drop

of the audacious courage
now required of us all
and still I look away
to place an order
forever craving another delivery of delusion
