"River Sojourn," a collection of field sketches, notes, paintings and artifacts, opens Wednesday at Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center , 2900 19th St. N.W., Rochester.
The exhibit is the work of Sara Lubinski, an artist and botanist, who spent two years traveling the upper Mississippi River valley. She recorded the experiences in a sketchbook, then developed full-size paintings in her home studio.
The opening reception is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. In addition, Lubinski will give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. July 10 at Cascade Meadow.
Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 9.
