Two of the biggest names in the last half-century of popular music — Alpert and Cash — headline the 2015-2016 Riverside Live! concert series announced today.
Herb Alpert, teamed with vocalist Lani Hall, will open the series Oct. 2, while Rosanne Cash, daughter of Johnny Cash and a major artist in her own right, will perform Nov. 7
All concerts are held in Presentation Hall of Mayo Civic Center, and are organized by Riverside Concerts , the music department of the city of Rochester.

— Herb Alpert and Lani Hall, Oct. 2. Alpert is a legend in the music business, both as leader of the Tijuana Brass and co-founder of A&M Records. Hall is a Grammy-winning vocalist and former lead singer for Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66. Tickets: $31.

— Rochester Concert Band & Choir Yule Fest, Dec. 5. The traditional holiday concert by a 50-piece symphonic wind ensemble and 50-voice choir. Tickets: $21.
— Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, Jan. 15. One of the world's leading guitar quartets, performing classical, jazz and pop music. Tickets: $26.
— Remember When Rock Was Young: An Elton John Tribute , Feb. 12. Elton John's greatest hits, performed by Craig Meyer, with all the costumes and showmanship of the star. Tickets: $29.
— The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc , March 5. Fiddlers from Norway, Sweden and the Shetland Islands combine the musical traditions of their home lands. Tickets: $26.
— Under the Streetlamp , April 22. The music of the the Drifters, Beach Boys, Beatles, Motown and Doo-Wop, performed by a vocal quartet that has had two PBS specials. Tickets; $31.
— A.J. Croce , May 6. A critically acclaimed, eclectic singer/songwriter, and son of legendary singer/songwriter Jim Croce. A.J. Croce's performance on "Music City Roots" has been seen on PBS stations this year. Tickets: $26.
