Rochester arts group plans Minneapolis trips

Rochester Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Art have two upcoming trips to the institute scheduled.

—The first is Thursday, when the group will attend the lecture " Mummies, Marbles and Medals : Why the British Museum Has a Prints and Drawing Collection," by Simon Sainsbury, of the British Museum, London. The Rochester group will also have a docent-led tour of the Guillermo del Toro exhibition "At Home with Monsters."

The bus departs at 8:30 a.m. from the Kahler Apache Hotel, 1517 16th St. SW. The fee is $25 for members, $30 for non-members. For reservations, call Lucy Bahn at 507-292-7744.

— The Rochester Friends group will travel to the institute again on April 27 to attend the annual Art in Bloom exhibition. The bus leaves at 8 a.m. from the Kahler Apache.
