Zumbrota to sample 'Love Potion'

ZUMBROTA — "Love Potion #10,"a musical production telling the story of six days in 1964 at a typical American high school, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the State Theatre,96 E. Fourth St., Zumbrota.

The show is presented by the Whitesidewallsand disc jockey Michael Patrick "Records" Ryan, and features doo-wop, rockabilly and rock 'n' roll music of the 1950s and 1960s, mixed with comedy, intrigue and romance. The show takes place at a class reunion for Northeast Southwestern High School. The show takes its title from the song "Love Potion #9," which was a hit for the Clovers in 1959 and the Searchers in 1965.

Tickets are $24 in advance, $27 at the door, and can be reserved through Crossings at Carnegie, 320 East Ave. in Zumbrota; 507-732-7616.
