Calling all ladies: Dress in your best of the worst and head on over to the Stumble Inn 2, at the Piper Hills Golf Course in Plainview, this weekend for the 17th annual Plainview Lions Club " Ladies Night Out" party.
This annual themed party is always a big hit, says emcee Alan Reedof Total Music DJ. And this year will be no exception.
"This is going to be a big party," Reed says. "It's a different theme every year — we've done everything under the sun, and never anything twice." Past themes have included a brides, bridesmaids and prom dress party, biker babes and a "Back to the '70s" polyester party. This year, it's "Women of Walmart," inspired by the People of Walmart website .
Tickets are $35 and include a broasted chicken dinner and keg beer, wine and soda. Also part of the fun will be casino-style games, prize raffles and music. And to the lady with the best costume, she'll win $50.
The party starts at 5 p.m. Saturday for all ladies ages 21 and older. Men will be allowed in after 11 p.m. For tickets, call (507) 534-3030 or (507) 259-3191 by 1 p.m. Saturday.

Just in time for warmer days and outdoor grilling, a best-selling lemonade-flavored seasonal is making a comeback.

Through August, Leinie loyalists and seasonal-beer lovers can now enjoy one of their favorite summertime potables, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, in cans, bottles and on draft.
Crafted by the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. in Chippewa Falls, Wis., this shandy-style brew is described by the company as being "an adventurous blend of select malted wheat and barley, (with) lemonade flavor and a hint of Wisconsin honey." It features a tangy and citrus character, with tart lemon flavoring that is said to complement spicy and robust grilled recipes.
