A Black and White Penguin Ball, featuring a silent auction and the music of Patsy Cline, will be held Dec. 5 at the Rochester Repertory Theatre, 103 Seventh St. N.E.
The silent auction is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and includes artwork, dining certificates and tickets for events in Rochester and the Twin Cities. There is no admission charge for the silent auction.
The tribute to Patsy Cline, featuring Laurie Helmers and Sarah Kohn, will be presented at the conclusion of the silent auction. The presentation recreates the life and music of Cline, with her biggest fan (portrayed by Kohn) paging through a scrapbook and Helmers performing Cline's greatest hits, including "Crazy," "Walkin' After Midnight," "I Fall to Pieces" and "Sweet Dreams."
