RUSHFORD — A Jam Camp for bluegrass musicians will be hosted Aug. 16-18 by the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association at Rushford Lutheran Church.
The camp is held in advance of the annual SEMBA Bluegrass Festival Aug. 19-22 at nearby Cushon's Peak Campground.
The goal of the sessions is to help musicians learn to play bluegrass music together. They will learn the basics of improvisational techniques and the role of each instrument playing backup and solos. In addition there will be one-on-one time with instrument instructors. Free transportation is provided from the campground to the church.
