Bluegrass stays in the family at festival

HOUSTON, Minn. — It's all in the family for some of the bands that will perform at the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association 's festival Aug. 18-21 at Cushon's Peak Campground near Houston.

The Kenaston Family Band, the Link Family, Lindley Creek, Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym'n are among the groups that have several family members performing together on stage at the festival.

Also scheduled to perform are the Southern Gentlemen, from Alabama; Dick Kimmel & Company, from Minnesota; Fine Line Bluegrass, from Iowa; Now and Then, from Minnesota; Coyote Crossing, from Wisconsin; Cedar Valley, from Iowa, and Good Friends, from Iowa.

Concerts are at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, a gospel show at 9 a.m. Sunday and a concert at noon Sunday. There are also workshops, jam sessions, an open stage and a jam camp.

Tickets are $32 for all four days, $29 for Friday through Sunday, $17 for Saturday only, and $13 for other single days. Ages 16 and younger are admitted free with an adult.
