SPRING GROVE — The duo of Bovee and Heil will perform the opening concert in a new series of live performances at the Spring Grove Cinema at 7 p.m. April 29.
Bovee and Heil, who are based in the Spring Grove area, perform American roots music at festivals and venues throughout the country. They have appeared on Iowa Public Television, the RFD network and "A Prairie Home Companion."
The concert will include cowboy and railroad songs, southern mountain songs, blues, rags and even yodeling. Admission is $2.
