The Choral Arts Ensemble is holding auditions for singers for its 2012-2013 season.
Auditions will be by appointment June 25 and 26 at the Choral Arts Ensemble offices in Assisi Heights in Rochester.
Choral Arts Ensemble is a 40-voice auditioned adult choir whose membership is drawn from communities throughout southeastern Minnesota. Rick Kvam, founder of the choir, returns as artistic director with this season.

The 15-minute audition consists of tonal memory and rhythm exercises, sight singing and range tests. Bring a prepared piece, art song, folk song or hymn tune and the completed audition form.
All singers must audition annually. They must be experienced in choral singing, able to learn music quickly and independently, commit for the entire season and prepare before rehearsals.

Rehearsals will be held from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Tuesdays from Aug. 28 through May 7 with occasional extra rehearsals as concerts approach. The 2012-2013 season will feature concerts on Oct. 13-14, Dec. 7-9, Feb. 9, March 9-10 and May 4-5. All are in Rochester venues.
