MANTORVILLE — The final Mantorville Melodrama of the summer opens Friday at the historic Mantorville Opera House.
"Willow Weep for Me, or A New Broom Sweeps Cleaner" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 11. In the play, accountant Elwood Dowell can't make sense of the books of the Willow Whisk Broom Factory. It appears that factory manager Cedwick Brash has plans to ride off with the fortune of the widow Priscilla and her daughters Missy and Sissy.
