Gloriana broke onto the country music scene in 2009 with the gold-certified hit single "Wild At Heart," and it's been a wild ride ever since.
The band won the 2009 fan voted-on American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist, as well as the "Nationwide On Your Side" honor at the CMT Awards. Taylor Swift also handpicked Gloriana to open for her on her international Fearless Tour.
The band went on to be named Top New Vocal Group at the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for "Choice Country Group."
Gloriana’s Tom Gossin co-wrote "(Kissed You) Good Night," the first single from its upcoming album on Warner Bros. Records with hit songwriter Josh Kear (Lady Antebellum‘s "Need You Now," Carrie Underwood‘s "Before He Cheats"). The band also has a song on the soundtrack of the "Footloose" remake.
Here's what singer Rachel Reinert says about the band's success:

So your fans are getting a taste of your new album with the second single "(Kissed You) Good Night." What can they expect from the rest of the album?
The thing about this record that we want everyone to really know is that even though it's been a long time in the making, I think that it will be well worth the wait. All three of us had a hand in writing every single song. It just basically documents what our lives have been like over the last three and a half years.
Prior to being in a band, we hadn't really done much traveling, let alone touring. We've been on the road for about three years straight. It's been an incredible journey. There was just so much we wanted to say that we really wanted to take our time with this next record. I think we've really found our voice and discovered our sound more than ever now.
How did you get involved with the "Footloose" soundtrack?
We were just asked to be a part of it. We were asked to sing "Almost Paradise" by Loverboy and basically do our own version of it. We wanted to go for a more organic, obviously more country feel to the song, and we were really happy with it and happy to be a part of the soundtrack.
Did Taylor Swift tell you why she picked your band to open for her on her Fearless Tour?
I think she just really liked our song. We had "Wild at Heart" that was just released. We were asked to be a part of her tour and we did that for about two years. It was awesome.
What's it like going from opening for bands such as Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn, to headlining your own tours?

It's really cool. We're getting to play a lot of fairs and festivals. We're having a great time. But we do really enjoy opening for other artists. It's a great thing for us because we get to know them and see them and what they do and take away from that. It's really wonderful. As long as get to do what we love to do, which is performing live, that's all that really matters.
