LOS ANGELES — Janeane Garofolo, who co-stars with Forest Whitaker in CBS' new spinoff called "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" that premieres tonight, doesn't think it's out-of-character for her to play a serious, by-the-book cop
"I don't think I'm that funny," said Garafolo, who first gained fame as a stand-up comedian. "So I feel uncomfortable saying 'How does a funny person get involved in this?' because comedy is subjective. So how do I get involved with deadly serious things? I don't know. ... I have tried to pursue dramatic roles over the years as well, but I think there is something about dark-haired women, deep voices of ambiguous sexuality that plays into dramatic programming."
