MANTORVILLE — "Under the Spell of Love," the third Mantorville Melodrama of the season, opens Friday at the Mantorville Opera House.
The show tells the tale of pseudo-doctor Ulysses Viper, who brings his medicine show to the town of Muddy Gulch selling an elixir he claims to be the wonder drug of the ages. But not everything is as wonderful as it appears. Of course there is a romantic twist, or two, and there seems to be something shady about Viper's secret recipe.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 21. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students; call (507) 635-5420 for reservations.
