WABASHA — Guaranteed Cash, an evening of the songs and sounds of Johnny Cash, will be presented Friday in a Moonshine Showcase concert at the Broadway Theater in Wabasha.
Bob Wootton, a former member of Cash's Tennessee Three band, will perform, backed by Six Mile Grove. Wootton played lead guitar for Cash from 1968 to 1997, an era that included some of Cash's greatest work, including the live album recorded at San Quentin Prison. Wootton was hired by Cash after the death of Luther Perkins, who had long played guitar alongside Cash.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and can be reserved at www.moonshineshowcase.com. The Broadway Theater is at 611 Broadway Ave. in Wabasha. Music starts at 8 p.m.
