Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale's new music and mixing event, Coda, will be Thursday by the river.
The free event is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 1 in conjunction with the Thursdays on First and Third street markets.
A cash bar will be available at the east patio, along the river walk at the historic Riverside Building, which is at South Broadway and Fourth Street Southeast.
Jazz music will be featured from the David Townsend Trio on Thursday and the John Paulson Trio on Sept. 1.
Coda brings the symphony orchestra and chorale and local musicians together to advance the art of music through various music genres, including jazz, blues, classical, Americana and bluegrass. The events are at the Riverside Building river walk during the summer. In inclement weather and in the winter, the event is in the Riverside Building.
