DODGE CENTER — Four plays received stars from the judges at the Hiawatha Valley League one-act play competition held last weekend at Triton High School in Dodge Center.
Judges awarded top honors to Triton ("The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail"), Zumbrota-Mazeppa ("Kaleidoscope"), Rochester Lourdes ("Lost in the Fire") and Cannon Falls ("A Moment in Time").
Selected as all-conference performers were Turi Jystad, of Zumbrota-Mazeppa; Conner McCarten, of Stewartville; Tim Fitzgerald, of Rochester Lourdes; Beth LaPan and Kailee Stiles, of Cannon Falls; Erica Thompson, of Byron; Joel Bauer, of Kasson-Mantorville; Thanh Tran, of Lake City; Jack Fate, Ellery Wealot and Khalen Greene, of Triton.
The schools will participate in sub-section competition this weekend.
