Skaters to display 'Magic' on ice (video)
Rochester Figure Skating Club 's 73rd annual ice show, "Magic," will be presented Friday through Sunday at the Rochester Recreation Center, 21 Elton Hills Drive N.W.
More than 300 members of the club will participate in the show, which will also feature the Rhythm and Blades synchronized skating team, and two individual Minnesota state champions, Ryan Santee and Shannon Brakke. Numbers will include "Defying Gravity," "The Sweet Escape," "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Black Magic."
The Rochester Figure Skating Club is one of the oldest in the state. The club's shows were originally held at Mayo Civic Auditorium when that building still had an ice rink.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Advance tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students (ages 5-17); tickets at the door are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors and students. Children younger than 5 are admitted free.
