Rob Drake, a 1975 graduate of Lanesboro High School, will speak and sign copies of his book, "Coaching or Cancer It's All About the Team," at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lanesboro Golf Course.
The book, Drake's first, is a self-published, autobiographical account of his diagnosis with lung cancer in November 2012, while he was coach of the girls basketball team at East Marshall High School in Iowa. Drake has coached several boys and girls sports teams in Iowa over the years; he resigned from his coaching job last spring. His cancer has reached Stage 4.
