Benefit set for Saturday

A memorial benefit concert will celebrate the life of Jesse "Flip" Peterson, aka "Flip Wilson," Saturday at the Eagles Club in Rochester.

Performing will be Luke N Bob Texas, Lazy Ike and the Daredevils and Zed on Arrival.

Silent auction items include a gift certificate from Infinity Tattoo, a catered event for up to 30 people at John Hardy's BBQ, overnight stays at some local hotels, gift cards from Whistle Binkies, a Lucky Tubb Dickies jacket, as well as items from Trader Joes, Roscoes, Bilotti's, Blue Moon Ballroom, Tea's Hobby Shop, Firekist Glass, and more — plus an original tattoo flash sheet drawn and painted by Craig Moore and Matt Kolling.

Peterson, 29, of Rochester, died Jan. 11, 2011, at his home. He worked for Tea's Design and Hobby Shop and enjoyed fishing with his friends, computers and gardening, and was considered a "jack-of-all-trades."

Doors open at 8 p.m. Music starts at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10. All Proceeds from the admission and silent auction will go to Flip's family, including his wife and three children.
