The Congregational Church United Church of Christ (UCC) of Rochester is pleased to welcome the Rev. Andrew Greenhaw and the Rev. Shannon Smith as their new settled co-pastors.
After an extensive search, the church has called Rev. Greenhaw and Rev. Smith, who will share ministerial responsibilities and together lead the church in an exciting new chapter of worship and community outreach.
In recognition and celebration of their arrival and first Sunday with the congregation, the church will hold an outdoor drive-by welcome in its upper parking lot on Sunday, Sept. 13, following the conclusion of its live-streamed 10 a.m. worship service (approximately 11 a.m.).
In order to maintain social distancing, members and friends will be able to offer in-person welcome from their vehicles. For safety reasons due to the pandemic the congregation continues to worship and meet online only.
The Congregational Church is one of the earliest churches in Rochester, having been in existence for over 160 years. Since 1964 the church has been located at 974 Skyline Drive SW.
For questions about the drive-by welcome please call the church office at 507-289-4581. For further information about the church please see its website https://www.congoroch.org or its Facebook page “The Congregational Church – Rochester, MN”.
