CANTON — There will be a special worship service at 3 p.m. June 10 at the historic Lenora United Methodist Church in honor of Flag Day.
This will be an informal service of worship as the flag is raised in front of the historic church.
The flag is raised in honor and in memory of pioneer people of faith and vision.
The flag pole was given to the church by Harold and LaDonna Wilson in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The 1856 Lenora United Methodist Church is near Canton on County Road 23 in Fillmore County.

People are asked to bring non-perishable food with them for local food shelves. An offering will be taken for the ongoing work and repair on the old church and neighboring Lenora House.
