This Mother's Day will likely be a little different than how we've celebrated in the past. There's no going out for a special brunch, and the stay-at-home order coupled with social distancing will make it difficult for families to get together, if they can at all. That's the downside.

The upside is that local restaurants have stepped up and are offering amazing takeout options specifically for Mother's Day. Of course, you might have decided to make a special meal for a mother in your life, but once you've looked these menus over, you might change your mind.

Victoria's will have "Picnic Packs," which include a mimosa pack, a pasta box (your choice of pasta), salad and dinner rolls. There are also chocolate-covered strawberries and a hand-tied flower bouquet. The packs feed four, and prices start at $85. Call 507-280-6232.

If you order a meal kit specifically for Mother's Day, they will deliver it on Sunday with a plant from Flowers by Jerry. The vegetarian option (Herbivore) costs $100 or $130, with the plant. The meat option (Omnivore), without delivery or with a plant, is $120; with delivery and a plant costs $150. Call 507-258-7490.
