Family Service Rochester was awarded a $500 grant from Meals On Wheels Association of America for its participation in the "Share The Love" Most Meals Contest.
As one of the five Subaru "Share The Love" event charitable partners, the Meals On Wheels Association of America created the Most Meals Contest. The contest was for Meals On Wheels programs across the country to recruit dealership employees to volunteer, deliver meals in Subaru vehicles and engage community members in the fight to end senior hunger.
Meals On Wheels Association of America is awarding $150,000 in Most Meals grants to the 48 Meals On Wheels programs.
Family Service Rochester will use the money to ensure meals are available to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
This year, Family Service Rochester will celebrate its 40th year providing Meals on Wheels in the Rochester area.
