Rochester's own Chris Lawrenceis back on the road to Hollywood.
The 2004 John Marshall High School grad is one of at least five Minnesotans who got a golden ticket on American Idol this season. It’s the second time for Lawrence — he also received a golden ticket last year but got cut in the first round.
Fans can follow his journey and watch him on the show again on Thursday.
He hasn’t cut his Rochester ties, either. He hosts Open Mic Night at Mickeys Irish Saloon, 1605 Civic Center Drive N.W., on Tuesdays (when he's not in Hollywood) and tonight he’ll be there performing with his band.

Inspired into action
When a tornado hit Ellendale in 2010, Rhonda Hareid, hairstylist and owner of Looks Unlimited, was lucky that her home was spared. Many of her friends weren't so lucky.
Inspired by the American Red Cross' response in her community, Hareid took an idea that she had and turned it into a way to give back.
She created the "Rugged Men of Looks Unlimited 2012" calendar. It's "eye-catching, but not inappropriate" says Hareid, and it runs a gamut of photos, from cowboys to fishermen to farmers.
So far she’s sold about 140 calendars and presented a check to the American Red Cross in Owatonna for $2,000.
"I'm happy to do this, so they (the Red Cross) can help someone else in a time of need," said Hareid.

Congrats to Olive Juice Studios ! The locally owned photography business recently received the Diamond Award from Mpls.St.Paul Magazinein the Outstanding Photography category.
The magazine publishes a special Weddings issue twice a year; a photo submitted by Olive Juice Studios is featured in the Spring/Summer 2012 issue.
Submitted photos were viewed by a national panel of judges and wedding experts. Olive Juice's featured photo was published along with this quote: "Capturing the fun and the formal, the love and the lighthearted, you’d think that each wedding Olive Juice Studios photographs is their best friend’s."
