Theresa Caputo , television's Long Island Medium, will present "The Experience" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mayo Civic Center 's Taylor Arena.
Caputo will tell personal stories about her life and explain how her gift works.
She was born and raised on Long Island, and said she realized at age 4 that was could sense, see and feel spirits. She learned to communicate with "souls in heaven," as she calls them, when she was in her 20s. Now Caputo uses her gift to deliver what she says are healing messages to people. She has now been a practicing medium for 15 years.
During "The Experience," Caputo will let a spirit guide her through the audience. "'The Experience' isn't about believing in mediums, it's about witnessing something life-changing," Caputo said. "It's like 'Long Island Medium' live, witnessing first-hand spirit communication."
In addition to appearing on numerous television programs, Caputo has written two best-selling books: "You Can't Make This Stuff Up" and "There's More to Life Than This."
