More than 100 beers for you to choose from

You could sing every round of "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall,"and it still wouldn't cover all the beers at Rochester on Tap.

The three-hour event will showcase more than 100 releases from some of the U.S.'s best craft breweries and imports. ROT takes place Saturday, Dec. 12, at Mayo Civic Center's Exhibit Hallwith two tasting sessions, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is also a special hour of VIP-only tasting that begins at noon.

Attendees will have access to an unlimited sampling of beers. There also will be live music, food available for purchase and other vendors.

Sessions one and two cost $36; VIP tickets are $51.

Rochester's event is one of 70 beer festivals that have been held around the country. America on Tap is the foremost producer of premium beer festivals in the U.S. Or as the people at America on Tap say, it's not just an opportunity to drink beer, but to experience beer.

The Rochester duo of Thomas and the Shakeswill perform at the event, featuring Thomas Wescottand Garrett Kolb, and they play folk, reggae and acoustic rock.
