This wine comes from a small family-owned winery based on a collaboration of the Siduri and the Novy families. Based in Santa Rosa, Calif., they painstakingly search for the very best vineyard sites and strive for the wine to be a reflection of the land.
To that end, they believe in minimalist winemaking. They allow nature to do most of the work. Most of their wine is unfined and unfiltered. They believe this does not mute the flavors of the land and the grapes. They truly believe their wines express their love of the land, history and family.
The Russian River Viognier has a beguiling nose, crisp acidity and pure fruit that makes it difficult to refuse a glass (or two). With crisp pear and peach aromas, wonderfully forward and sweet tasting fruit, and a long, crisp finish, this is the perfect wine to serve at the beginning of a meal.
