Olmsted Medical Center Regional Foundation's annual amateur 9-wicket croquet tournament, a fundraiser for the foundation, is being held on June 26 at Rochester Golf and Country Club.
Funds raised will go toward a future expansion of emergency medicine services at OMC, in Rochester.
The seventh-annual tournament, for novice and experienced amateur players, is played for non-cash prizes. A $150 team entry fee admits two players to the pre-tournament brunch buffet, registers them as an event team, and provides a picnic-style lunch as well as a themed gift. Equipment is provided.
Event registration opens at 10:30 a.m. June 26, followed by an 11 a.m. brunch in the RGCC clubhouse. Play begins at 1 p.m. after a rules review session. Play is two rounds of 45-minute games, followed by a gourmet picnic lunch. Teams may qualify for a third round of games.
There will be prizes for the top-performing teams, for the best dressed male and female competitors, for best hat (male and female) and best themed team.
