Here’s a chance to protect yourself and your furry friend.

Later this month, Olmsted County will hold its 63rd annual rabies vaccination clinic for pet.

Local veterinarians will provide rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets for $20 on Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. Payment must be made in cash.

The vaccinations help prevent the spread of rabies from wildlife to domesticated animals to humans.

Pet owners should bring their animals in carriers or on a leash. Masks are strongly encouraged at any location, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
