Brotherhood

They are best of the buddies

They can be competitive

And on occasion rivals …

But remain brothers

Some go on to do great things

The Wrights came up with the airplane

Leon and Michael Spinks made Olympics history

With their boxing bravado

The musical success

Of the Bee Gees

Peyton and Eli Manning

And who doesn't cherish the memories

Of Kennedys

John, Robert and Edward

Brothers who excelled at

Public service

And there are many more not so famous

Who deserve mention here

It is perplexing then

Why some brothers choose

Infamy

Fuel bigotry, wreak mayhem

Oh, brother

I wish I knew.
