Poem: One Morning in March

One morning in March,

You open the back door.

Spring greets you —

Birds singing,

A crisp freshness to the air,

Crocuses peeking out of the newly exposed earth,

Snow shrinking like an old cream-colored wool sweater.

The wind carries the hope of sun-drenched warmth.

The promise of tulip bulbs planted in the fall

Magically turning into a riot of backyard color.

Spring — Hope, Cheer, Good Health

A new song in your soul.
