A workshop on Yoga Nidra, a deeply relaxing form of yoga, is being given at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Episcopal Church, 111 Third Ave. S.W., Rochester.
The yoga practice is said to lead to states of relaxation deeper and more refreshing than sleep. The workshop will include a short lecture, stretching, and the yoga practice itself. A question-and-answer period will follow with the program leader, Nancy Boler, a Minneapolis-based, certified Kripalu Yoga and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra instructor.
No prior experience is needed. Bring two or three blankets and a yoga mat. Admission is free and no reservation is required. The event is scheduled through 4:30 p.m.
