Retired La Crosse, Wis., police lieutenant Dan Marcou will sign copies of his fourth book, "Destiny of Heroes," Saturday at Barnes & Noble at Apache Mall in Rochester. His appearance will be from 1 to 5 p.m.
Marcou is a longtime nationally recognized police trainer who made writing a second career. He first wrote a short novel for academy students, titled "The Calling: The Making of a Veteran Cop." That book led to a trilogy, and now he has released his fourth book, which has new characters and takes place in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as Minnesota and Wisconsin.
