Rochester Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts will take a bus trip to the institute Thursday to attend a lecture on tattoos .
Anna Felicity Friedman, a tattoo scholar and historian, will present " Tattooing’s Vibrant History: Ancient to Contemporary ." Following that, the Rochester group will have a docent-led tour of the Purcell-Cutts House.
The bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. from the Kahler Apache Hotel, 1517 16th St. SW. The fee is $30 for members, $35 for non-members; for information and reservations call 507-288-1093.
Also coming up, the Rochester Friends of the MIA will travel to the Art in Bloom show at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on April 26. The bus leaves at 8 a.m. from the Kahler Apache. The bus fee is $30 for members $35 for non-members.
