The Rochester Regional Equestrian Center is sponsoring a Run for Horses on Saturday, as part of the Elgin Cheese Fest.
The walk/run race is open to all ages and costs $5 per person. This event will be family friendly and family affordable; cost is $5 per person, free for family members beyond three people. There are different age categories and races to choose from, including 1-, 2-, 3,-, 4-, and 5-mile races. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the gazebo on Main Street in Elgin. The race will start at 8 a.m.
This race will also be a dedication of the Great River Ridge Trail.
The Equestrian Center will use the proceeds to assist in projects, such as their reading project with Riverside Elementary School.
