Take a ride along the Root River in a tractor-pulled wagon as part of the annual "Ride the Root River Trail" Wagon Ride on Sept. 8.
There will be two free rides throughout the day. The first will begin loading at 8:30 a.m., and the second at 12:30 p.m. Each ride will be approximately 2 1/2 hours long.
The trip will begin at The Depot in Rushford. Each ride will travel halfway to Houston along the Root River State Trail and then return to The Depot.
All seniors (ages 55 years or older), companions and disabled individuals are welcome.
Dining is also available, featuring roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, Italian blend veggies and carrot cake. The suggested meal cost is $3.50 for anyone 60 or older, $5.50 for anyone younger than 60. Dining will be available after the morning ride and before the afternoon ride. There will also be coffee, donuts and baked goods at The Depot.
