Bordeaux is typically a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle. These three grapes combine the best parts of the three: acidity, grassiness, creaminess and lush fruit.
The Tertre de Launay possesses a high proportion of the aromatic Muscadelle variety in the blend distinguishes this wine from other white Bordeaux. So much so that the Washington Post's Ben Giliberti had this to say, "If only all white Bordeaux were this good!
