Gaelic harp music will fill Rochester Civic Theatre next week.
Irish Fest will present "Meet the Gaelic Harp with Ann Heymann" at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Heymann's performance will be the first of five free public seminar-performances promoting 1,000 years of harp tradition in Ireland and Scotland.
A native Minnesotan, Heymann has been been touring in order to bring the Gaelic harp's voice to life. The Scottish Harp Society calls Heymann a pioneer "who brought the Gaelic harp back to a living tradition."
The concert is funded through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
