If you're interested in becoming an organ donor, or are in need of an organ transplant, check out a free presentation called "Transplant 101" at 6:30 p.m. on May 15 at the Rochester Public Library Auditorium, 101 Second St. S.E.
As part of the presentation:
• Dr. Brooks Edwards, director of the William J. von Liebig Transplantation Center at Mayo Clinic, will speak about transplant innovations.
• Registered nurse Sara Schlichting, hospital coordinator for Saint Marys Hospital, LifeSource, will discuss coordination of organ and tissue donation.
• Steve Brown, a volunteer blood and marrow courier for the National Marrow Donor Program, will talk about the role volunteerism plays.
