The fifth annual Brains Together for a Cure walk is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 8, with registration at 9 a.m., at the UCR Regional Sports Center's fieldhouse that is home to Rochester Community and Technical College activities.
The 5-kilometer walk will be held either inside or outside, weather permitting.
Post-walk refreshments and entertainment will be available, and a silent auction will be held.
Brains Together For a Cure is a nonprofit organization started four years ago to raise money for brain tumor research. About $130,000 has been raised during that time, with all proceeds going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Onsite registration on Oct. 8 is $25.
