Tuesday at TerraLoco
"It's going to be really fun," said Tiffany Piotrowicz, store manager at TerraLoco. "We're giving away at least six pairs of shoes, over $2,000 worth of giveaways. We'll have beverages for children and adults, there'll be music; we'll be open late."
TerraLoco will host a Customer Appreciation Night Tuesday. In addition to discounts, drinks and food, there will be a 5K supporting Toys for Tots at 6 p.m. Entry fee is $5 for the race.
Representatives of Hoka and Saucony will be at the event and customers can try out their shoes and socks.
While there, shop for gifts such as the OLovesM zipper pouch, a staff recommendation and a gift on my Christmas wish list. "It's just the right size for a make-up bag or for toiletries at the gym," Piotrowicz said. "Plus, it's made from yoga mats so it's eco-friendly and easy to clean." The yoga mats being used to make the zipper pouches are leftover remnants from producing yoga mats, not used ones. The zipper pouch retails for $12.95.
OLovesM is a line TerraLoco has carried since opening. "The company is out of Colorado," Piotrowicz said, "and her purses are completely green and made in the USA. The strapping she uses was purchased from a sandal company that was going out of business."

"The Rochester Art Center is curating it," Haywood said. It's part of a series titled Locally Grown.
Dahl, a Rochester native, uses photography, video and mixed media to understand complex relationships between memory, distance and personal events that take place over the course of generations.
