Fall at the market means endless displays of pumpkins, gourds, and fall decor!
Here are some fun pumpkin facts from Minnesota Grown: there are 128 registered pumpkin farms in Minnesota. The term Jack-o-Lantern is 182 years old. And there are eight farms growing pumpkins within 25 miles of Rochester! You can search the produce directory at minnesotagrown.com to find one near you.

Recipe - Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer, adapted from Better Homes & Gardens
- Cut a baking pumpkin in half, remove seeds, and roast, cut end down, in a pan with around ½ inch of water for about 45 minutes or until soft.
- Scoop ¼ cup pumpkin into blender and puree with just enough liquid to blend smoothly.
- In a quart-sized canning jar, combine pureed pumpkin with 2 cups heavy cream, half and half, or dairy or non-dairy milk.
- Flavor with:
- Maple syrup
- Pumpkin pie spice, a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and ginger
- 1 tsp. vanilla
