RED WING — Marilyn A. Bollum, 76, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, in Blue Earth.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Red Wing, the daughter of Bill and Anna (Lindemann) Friedrich.

She was raised and educated in Red Wing, where she was a 1952 graduate of Red Wing High School. She worked at Northern States Power in Red Wing before her marriage to Henry C. Bollum on May 8, 1954, in Red Wing. The couple lived in Salzburg, Austria, for a time, when Henry was in the military, and then lived near Owatonna before moving to Blue Earth in 1964. .

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Henry Bollum of Blue Earth; her son, Wayne Bollum of Northfield, her son, Randy (Rhonda) Bollum of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, her son, Terry (Heidi) Bollum of Spokane, Wash.; her daughter, Cindy (Neal) Grotsun of Cold Spring; one niece; three nephews; several cousins and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Marcella Freidrich, and daughter-in-law, Jean Bollum.
